Doha: Qatar Development Bank's (QDB) export programme 'Tasdeer' participated in the Complast Vietnam 2018 exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City, as part of a special pavilion that brought together 14 Qatari companies from the plastics and rubber sector.

The Bank's participation in this important international exhibition comes in the framework of promoting Qatari products and introducing them to regional and international markets. The exhibition was held from 10 to 12 January 2018, QDB said in a press release today.

Complast is one of the top international exhibitions specialized in the plastics industry, serving as a platform for attracting companies and brands from all over the world and opening up business opportunities for companies and factories in this sector.

Commenting on the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Development Bank Abdulaziz bin Nasser Al Khalifa said: "Qatari companies and factories working in the plastics and rubber industries have made significant strides in their production's progress. Having proven their efficiency in the local and regional market, they are now launching themselves globally through the Complast Vietnam international exhibition, which brings together companies from all over the world to showcase their latest products and technologies in the plastics industry, as well as to share experiences and expertise."

He added: "At QDB, we have played an active and important role in this international exhibition, through our 'Tasdeer' program, where we provided assistance to companies and factories to achieve their goals and aspirations by allowing them to interact with the world's leading firms in this vital sector. This is very important as it opens for Qatari companies a new window to international markets, enabling them to export their products to these markets and contribute to the diversification of the Qatari economy, which is one of the main objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030."
