Qatar participates in 51st session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Cairo: The work of the 51st session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers started at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States on Wednesday. The session was headed by Sudan, to succeed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The State of Qatar is represented by HE the Deputy Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the Arab League Ambassador Hassan bin Ahmed Al Mutawa.

The session's agenda includes discussing the item related to the "Arab media strategy" and "the Arab media movement plan abroad" in light of media trends that support the Palestinian cause in a spirit of commitment and solidarity between the various components and tributaries of the Arab media and against the arbitrary Israeli measures and policies against the Palestinians.

The ministers and heads of delegations held a consultative meeting in the presence of the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, before the launch of the opening session to discuss the items on the agenda of the ministerial session and consult on the issues, especially the role of the media in confronting COVID-19 pandemic.
