Arab League Secretary General, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, has warned of the negative consequences and risks of foreign intervention in Libya, Xinhua reported.

Aboul Gheit expressed concern about the serious escalation in the country affected by the conflict, reminding of his call for immediate de-escalation.

He also called on all parties in Libya to enter into talks to put an end to military operations and reach a ceasefire deal to pave the way for a political solution. Aboul Gheit stressed that the Arab League rejects all foreign interference in Libyan internal affairs, noting that the organization will do its best to resolve the Libyan crisis.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey is ready to send troops to Libya if the Libyan government requests.
