Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr has singled out three South Africa players for praise following his side’s 1-1 draw with the Bafana Bafana in their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifying encounter played last weekend.

An own goal from South Africa defender, Buhle Mkhwanazi, and a strike from striker, Lebo Mothiba ensured the Super Eagles got a point against the hosts.

Rohr said the likes of Brighton & Hove loanee Percy Tau, Bidvest Wits FC defender, Thulani Hlatshwayo and Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune all did very well against the Super Eagles.

”I told you already that you have a wonderful payer, who was man of the match (Tau). You have a very good goalkeeper (Khune) also,” Allnigeriasoccer quoted Rohr as saying at post-match.

”You have the captain (Hlatshwayo), also a very, very good player.”

Rohr added: ”Overall, you have a team who can also go to the AFCON normally, but this last match will not be easy.

”Fortunately, it’s not in Libya you will play, I think, also in Tunisia.

”We were there, it’s not easy. I can give some advice to your coach, if he wants – give him my number and I wish you all the best for this difficult match.”

Nigeria will face Seychelles in their final Group E game in March 2019, while Libya who must win to qualify for the 2019 AFCON will host South Africa in Sfax, Tunisia for their final game.
