The first round of negotiations for the signing of a  Free Trade  Agreement Free Trade (FTA) between Panama and China will be in the month of July and will take place in Panama City.

The announcement came Friday, May 25 from Panama’s  Minister of Commerce Augusto Arosemena who will head the country’s negotiating team.

"The message that the first round is in Panama is very important for the Panamanian private sector,” said Arosemena.

Panama and China will officially launch negotiations for the signing of the FTA on June 12 at a ceremony in the city of Beijing.  Arosemena and his Chinese counterpart Zhong Shan will attend
