Saudi King embarks on Asian tour

RIYADH, Feb 25 (KUNA) -- Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud left here Saturday night, on a tour that will take him to Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei Dar Al-Salam, Japan, China, The Maldives and Jordan.
He was seen off at the royal terminal of King Khalid International Airport by a large number of senior officials, including Prince Abdul-Elah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - Advisor to the King, Prince Muqren bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Faisal, Prince Fahd bin Abdullah bin Mohammad, Prince Saad bin Abdullah bin Turki, Prince Saud Al-Abdullah Al-Faisal, Prince Saud bin Saad bin Abdulaziz,Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Abdurrahman, Prince Badr bin Fahd in Saad, Prince Dr. Abdulrahman bin Saud Al-Kabeer, and Prince Dr. Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz.
The visits, which came in response to invitations from leaders of these friendly countries to the King, aim to strengthen the bilateral relations with the seven countries, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported, citing a statement by the Royal Court.
While in Jordan, King Salman will take part in the 28th ordinary session of the Arab League Council on the summit level, the statement added. (end) od.gb
