Arab League chief due in Kuwait Mon. for talks on regional developments - Al-Jarallah

KUWAIT, Oct 31 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah said Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Abul Gheit was due in Kuwait later Monday for talks with senior officials on common Arab action and developments in the region.
Al-Jarallah, in a statement to KUNA, said Abul Gheit was paying his first visit to Kuwait since assuming office as part of a tour to a number of Arab countries.
This tour, he added, aimed at discussing efforts to develop the Arab League as well as regional developments, specially with approach of the 4th Arab-African summit which was due in Equatorial Guinea late November.
Abul Gheit is scheduled to meet with His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah tomorrow Tuesday, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and then hold talks with First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, said Al-Jarallah.
Al-Jarallah wished best of luck for Abul Gheit in his duties as the Arab League chief. (end) hrz.bs
